Sony Network Communications, a subsidiary of tech giant Sony, intends to create a blockchain in partnership with Startale Labs.

Having a presence in almost all areas, including gaming, technology and finance, Sony Group plans to enter the digital asset industry.

Jun Watanabe, CEO of Sony Network Communications, has said:

"By combining Sony Network Communications' experience in communication, IoT, AI, and solution services with Startale Labs' insights and technical prowess in Web3, we aspire to create a global infrastructure that underpins the Web3 era, driving innovation across existing industries."

The developer is registered in Singapore.

The corporation developed a contactless hardware wallet for cryptocurrencies based on IC card technology in 2018.

Subsequently, Sony Pictures Entertainment filed a patent application for a blockchain system to store digital rights records.
