Japanese electronics maker Casio has just announced the launch of G-SHOCK digital watches in non-fungible token (NFT) format on the Polygon network as part of a partnership with the project.
Users will reportedly be able to receive one of 15,000 NFT passes for free, which will give them access to a themed Discord channel. Token owners will participate in voting on the design of the virtual watch and, if they wish, offer their own choice.
Casio customers who have previously registered on the site will have early access to the pre-release "Creator Pass" between September 23 and 26. Public token distribution will take place from September 26-29.
The main release of the G-SHOCK watches 3D imaging product is scheduled for December 2023.
The collection will be available to citizens of the USA, Great Britain, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Spain, Portugal, Austria and some other countries.
