Non-fungible token #3953 from the Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC) collection has been sold for 200 ETH or around $370,000, well below the maximum figures.

According to Rarity Sniper, the token is the second rarest item in the entire BAYC lineup. Previously, NFTs with similar characteristics sold for millions of dollars.

In 2021, a record sale of BAYC #8817 took place at an auction organized by Sotheby's in which the token was purchased for $3.4 million.

The previous high belongs to token #3749. In September 2021, it was sold for 740 ETH or about $2.9 million at the time of sale.

In recent weeks, the NFT sector has experienced a significant downturn, with trading volumes and token prices falling.

However, Yuga Labs, the creator of BAYC, is not too worried about the current situation.

Representatives of the project have stated:

"We’re not interested in monitoring the purchase or sale of our collections on marketplaces because it has no impact on what we’re doing at Yuga."
