Twitch Co-Founder, Justin Kan, has barely launched a marketplace for non-fungible tokens (NFTs) called Fractal but it has already become a target for bad actors. Just ahead of the launch, a bot used for Fractal's Discord was compromised. The hacker — whose identity remains unclear — used the bot to publish a fraudulent link, which redirected users to a fake version of Fractal NFTs.

According to reports, the bad actor pulled in over $154,000 in SOL tokens. Shortly after the news broke, Kan confirmed on Twitter about the hack. Fractal tweeted it will reimburse all the affected users. Further updates are expected to follow soon.

Fractal is an NFT-marketplace based on the Solana blockchain. Initially, it was scheduled to go live on December 24. However, it remains unclear if the project's developers are planning to stick to the deadline after the incident. As iHodl earlier reported, Fractal already signed partnerships with gaming studios that will be dropping NFTs on the platform. Users will be able to buy and sell gaming NFTs on Fractal from game partners and ordinary users.
