According to Dune Analytics, Ethereum 2.0 deposit contract has 1,178,369 ETHs ($691,7 million) staked so far. Buterin says 1% also includes stuck/lost funds.

An additional important indicator for assessing the state of the network is the participation of registered validators in the release and confirmation of blocks. At the launch of Ethereum 2.0, the participation rate was 89%, after which it surged up to 95%.

As of press time, the figure is between 98% and 99%. In addition, the queue for the inclusion of new validators is growing. None of the validators have voluntarily refused to participate in staking yet. The protocol provides such an opportunity, however the deposit can be withdrawn only after the start of transfers on general terms.

At the end of November 2020, the interest of users in Ethereum experienced a significant increase, according to data by Google. The searches for the term"Ethereum" in the Google search engine reached their highest level since February 2018.
