Bitcoin price has started the day in red. At press time, the largest cryptocurrency by market cap is trading at $6,917.08 (-2.52%).

For its part, Ethereum has fallen to $132.05 (-6.8%), while XRP has dropped 7.44% and is now trading at $0.198.

According to CoinMarketCap’s ranking, 8 currencies on the top 10 are in red.

Bitcoin has fallen below $7,000 and is currently trading at around $6,900. Over the past 24 hours, the reference cryptocurrency has lost more than 2%. This decline coincides with an increase in trading volumes. Altcoins are posting greater losses. For example, Ethereum has lost more than 6%, while XRP has fallen almost 7%. The rest of the currencies on the top 10 are posting similar losses. Tether (USDT) and Tezos are the only cryptos in green.

The BTC dominance index has grown from yesterday’s 66.6% to 67.2%.

As for the market cap of all currencies listed in CoinMarketCap, it stays at $186,519,027,452.
