Mike Novogratz's crypto bank announced last week that the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA), a self-regulatory body for broker-dealers in the U.S., has just granted an underwriter license to Galaxy Digital Advisors, Galaxy Digital's broker-dealer division.

The license allows the company to act as an underwriter to registered public offerings of equity, debt, or other corporate securities.

These new services are added to those already offered by the bank (private placement of securities as placement agent and advice on mergers and acquisitions).

Ian Taylor, head of Advisory Services at Galaxy Digital, has said:

"This is an important step in the development of our advisory franchise. With this approval, we now have the ability to finance digital asset and blockchain technology companies through their entire life cycle – from founding, through private capital raisings, to their initial public offering and beyond."

Galaxy Digital is a diversified, multi-service commercial bank focused on the digital assets industry and blockchain technology.

Mike Novogratz said earlier this month that bitcoin could still grow a lot more judging from its recent rally.
