Despite the astonishing growth of the crypto market registered in recent weeks, the downloads of crypto-related applications seem to have stalled, Bloomberg reported on June 28.

According to data provided by the mobile app analysis firm App Annie, the number of downloads of crypto-related apps during the first half of the year reached 67 million, registering a 1.82% increase compared to the previous year, when this figure remained at 65.8 million.

This is quite surprising, since the current crypto rally should have boosted the downloads of this type of apps.

Just as a comparison, during the first 6 months of 2017, 28.2 million downloads were recorded, 45% more than in 2016.

In order to conduct the study, the analysis company has considered the apps that include the words bitcoin, cryptocurrencies or blockchain in their description in Apple Store and Google Play.
