We shared yesterday that, according to a study conducted by the event software platform Bizzabo, crypto-focused events have been considerably composed by men — which comes as no surprise since the technology world has been largely male-dominated.

However, the research was not only centered on the gender gap matter — all the data collected by Bizzabo allowed other curious conclusions concerning the sector, namely regarding the geographic and professional background of the analyzed attendees.

The English-speaking world composed the large majority of the registrants, with 45 percent from the US and 28 percent from the UK. Curiously, attendees from Hong Kong and China, behind many crypto-related companies, represented only 1 percent (each).

With respect to professional background conclusions were quite “expected”. The majority of the attendees (about 57 percent) represented individuals working in the finance sector — and 37 percent corresponded to employees of companies focused on the tech sector.
