The head of the largest cryptocurrency exchange Binance, Changpeng Zhao (CZ), has said in a recent interview with Bloomberg he welcomes government and regulatory involvement.

"I think we definitely welcome government or regulatory involvement. We want clarity though there’s still too much uncertainty in many countries in the world, regarding cryptocurrency industry regulations," CZ said.

However, the head of the exchange has also mentioned they want a “good, sensible regulation that would promote innovations.”

Previously, Binance asked its remaining users from Iran to withdraw their money as the cryptocurrency exchange seeks to comply with international sanctions against their country.

Moreover, CZ noted that although "[crypto] price is a very strong attraction for speculators" the industry will grow due to individuals and companies carrying out "real use" applications.

That’s what will drive the adoption of cryptocurrencies in the long term.

Earlier, CZ stated that moves towards aiding crypto adoption in 2019 will be made. However, that is only a passing goal.
