Against the background of the crypto market falling, the creator of the Ethereum network, Vitalik Buterin, has lost more than $460 million since January of this year. This is evidenced by the data of his crypto wallet

The financial losses impressed the participants of the crypto community and some, though in a sarcastic tone, offered to collect donations for Buterin because in his wallet $40 million remained.

In the fall, Buterin published an extract from his wallet, according to which he had about 365,003 ETH on his account. Since then, he has not received any significant amounts but spent a total of 20,000 coins. Excluding this amount, at the rate before the collapse on the crypto market, Buterin had $514 million as of January 13 of this year, in October this amount was reduced to $71.4 million, but now it is a little more than $40 million.

Earlier it became known that the developers of the Ethereum network shared their development plans for the project. In particular, experts began to work on a new update, which should speed up the protocol and expand the capabilities of the system in a short time.

The update is still called “Ethereum 1x”. According to media reports, the launch can be held in June next year. In the meantime, according to insiders, the update is at a too early stage to discuss it publicly. The company declined to comment on the information.
