The Waves blockchain network processed 6.1 million transactions on its MainNet, according to official Medium blog.

The announcement states:

“We are very excited to announce that our platform has processed more transactions in 24 hours than any other open blockchain in existence. On Sunday 21 October the Waves network processed a remarkable 6.1 million transactions.”

According to the statistics from PYWAVES, the platform succeeded a total of 6,141,108 transfers by the network, with the blockchain supporting hundreds of transactions per second at peak times.

Earlier in October, Waves announced it's going to open a massive fund of 1 million WAVES in order to recruit video game companies to build applications on their blockchain.
