According to Bahrain local mediaThe Daily Tribune, Bahrain’s first ever cryptocurrency exchange will soon be launched. The platform will be called Rain and will provide the services for purchase, sale, and storage of cryptocurrencies.

As it was also noted, the platform will be looking to expand throughout the GCC by securing a full operational license across the region in 2019.

Rain was founded in 2016 by four local entrepreneurs – Yehia Badawy, Abdullah Almoaiqel, AJ Nelson and Joseph Dallaga and is backed by big names in the industry including Bitcoin core developer Jimmy Song and Cumberland Mining founder Mike Komaransky.
