Famous children's author R.L. Stine mentioned the first cryptocurrency in his latest work Goosebumps: Haunted Halloween Movie Novel. The Reddit user under the nickname u/tbaycrypto began reading the book to his child and suddenly found in it several paragraphs devoted to bitcoin. He decided to share his finding with other users. In the story, two children open a secret passage, and then a crate. Characters reflect on what treasures may be contained within. One of them suggests that it could be "gold, diamonds, and bitcoins."

The book was published in coordination with the movie Goosebumps 2: Haunted Halloween, which just came out on big screens. This is the sequel to the 2015 Goosebumps movie. R.L. Stine is called "Stephen King" of children's literature, and its bibliography includes hundreds of books, many of which have been very successful.
