The mining giant Bitmain has developed equipment for the mining of Decred cryptocurrency. It is no longer available for orders.

The computing power of the new Antminer DR3 is 7.8 TH/s, the power consumption is 1400 watts, the weight is 8 kg. The installation cost is $673. By the time of writing this article, all the devices have already been sold.

In the first half of September it became known that the Antminer competitor might appear on the market. Plans for the release of ASIC-devices for mining were announced by the former developer Canaan Chen Ming. According to him, the new technology will be more economical and efficient than that of Bitmain.

At the end of August, the world's largest manufacturer of graphics chips, NVIDIA reported that it refuses to produce equipment for mining, as its video cards cease to be popular among participants in the crypto sphere. The problem is that GPU-chips from NVIDIA have less processing power than ASIC-miners.
