The Tron Foundation has made an announcement, that they have successfully purchased the domain BlockChain.Org.

Tron’s CEO Justin Sun claimed that:

“blockchain.org will be a one-stop aggregated data, search engine platform. It will be a platform that offers big data analysis, project evaluation, information search and other services for users in the blockchain field.”

The foundation believes that the accumulation of “big data” will give them a heads up on the desires of the community, as well as a better understanding of the crypto situation and what actions ought to be taken. Tron believes that BlockChain.org will allow them and the community to be on top of what is happening and allow potential problems to be resolved via timely analysis of the situation.

Whilst analyzing the data, Tron will be especially interested in three things: volume, speed, and type. To keep an eye on the volume, activity over the web will have to be monitored, like what is going on on social media and other search engines. The data must be processed fast for the service to be precise. And the information that we have access to varies by type, be it a video, an image or text, therefore the analysis of the available information needs to be adjusted to each type to provide the required feedback.

The acquired platform is not yet functioning and there is no disclosed date to as when we can expect the search engine to be launched.

WHY IS THIS IMPORTANT?

  1. A platform like this could potentially help the whole crypto community to be more in line with the current crypto affairs.
  2. By acquiring big data the market and tendencies ought to become more transparent for both crypto companies and crypto users.
