Yuzo Kano, founder of bitFlyer and former trader at Goldman Sachs and BNP Paribas, is actively hiring traders and bankers from prestigious financial institutions as he gears towards international expansion,Bloomberg reports.

BitFlyer is the world’s fourth largest cryptocurrency institution after BitMex, Binance and OKEx, with Kano planning to take it to first place. The company reported $2 billion daily transactions in late April and early May.

There are other crypto firms hiring with similar intentions - Kano, however, was quick to benefit from new Japanese regulations which paved the way for an easier transition from finance to crypto. In many countries, the lack of official cryptocurrency recognition creates unstable ground for traders and crypto institutions - Japan, on the other hand, has already licensed cryptocurrency exchanges.

Kano believes that experienced traders and bankers who already have know-how in regulated markets are ideal candidates for his company. He plans to employ 300 people by the end of the year, luring candidates in with six-figure salaries, high-class office spaces and substantial benefits packages. BitFlyer has offices in Tokyo, San Francisco and Luxembourg with expansion planned to Africa, South America and Asia.
