The Bitcoin’s (TIKER: BTC.EXANTE) price bounced back to $4,230 territory on Thursday after breaking below the $4,000 support region past week with the lowest drop to $3,600 on August 21, Bitcoin.com reports.

This was happening as the Bitcoin community was watching Segregated Witness (Segwit) activation on the Bitcoin network.

SegWit has been activated on Wednesday night on block 481822 at 10:00 pm EDT оn August 23.

“SegWit is actually something we’ve been waiting years for. This is the Netscape moment for bitcoin,” Elizabeth Stark, CEO and co-founder of Lightning Labs said.

At the same time bulls were pushing the price back up to the high of $4,250.

However, the price is currently bouncing between $4,190-4,230, dipping slightly after yesterday’s high.

As for now the price remains bullish, after Segwit’s activation and traders remain optimistic about the nearest future of Bitcoin.
