Recorded Future analysts have conducted a study, which have revealed the most popular cryptocurrencies of the dark web. They have studied more than 150 trading platforms, websites and forums offering illegal services.
Bitcoin (TIKER: BTC.EXANTE) is the leader of the rating, and is accepted by 100% of buyers. Litecoin (TIKER: LTC/USD.BITFINEX) is the second most accepted cryptocurrency, followed by Dash (TIKER: DASH.EXANTE).
The analysis further showed that crypto-criminals from Eastern Europe (including Russia) prefer Litecoin, while their Western colleagues prefer Bitcoin.
