Recorded Future analysts have conducted a study, which have revealed the most popular cryptocurrencies of the dark web. They have studied more than 150 trading platforms, websites and forums offering illegal services.
Bitcoin (Bitcoin) is the leader of the rating, and is accepted by 100% of buyers. Litecoin (LTC/USD) is the second most accepted cryptocurrency, followed by Dash (DASH/USD).
The analysis further showed that crypto-criminals from Eastern Europe (including Russia) prefer Litecoin, while their Western colleagues prefer Bitcoin.
